Trade – economic cooperation
According to the data of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in 2018, trade between Kazakhstan and Croatia amounted to $ 353 million (export - 342 million, import - 11 million). In 2017, trade amounted to $ 316.9 million.
For the period January-November 2019, trade amounted to 117.4 million dollars (export - 109.4 million dollars, import - 8 million dollars).
The structure of Kazakhstan's export to Croatia is dominated by oil and oil products (95%), aluminum and food products. RK imports from Croatia are dominated by textiles, building materials, equipment, food products, etc.
On February 5, 2019, the Croatian entrepreneur, head of the Euromarin company M.Knego was appointed Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in the Dubrovnik-Neretva County with a residence in Dubrovnik.
On May 6, 2019, an office of an independent partner of JSC NC “KAZAKH INVEST" and the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Croatia was opened in Split.
On October 28-30, 2019, the «First Business Networking Summit» was organized on the site of the Astana International Financial Centre with the participation of ex-President of Croatia Stepan Mesić and the heads of several large Balkan companies;Since 2001, Mr. Zhivan Levai has been the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Umag.
