Ambassador of Kazakhstan Ms. Raushan Yesbulatov had a meeting with the Minister of Culture of the Kingdom of Thailand, Mr. Vira Rozhpochanarat, where she discussed the development of bilateral relations in the field of culture.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the intensification of bilateral cooperation through the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana.
The Kazakh diplomat expressed gratitude to the Thai side and personally to the Minister of Culture for his participation in this important international event. It was noted that at the Exhibition Thailand was represented at a very high level, and the Thai pavilion, which was one of the largest in terms of area, visited about 700 thousand times.
R.Yesbulatova informed the Minister about the "Rukhani Zhangyru" Program, mentioning that Ideas proposed in the program by the President of Kazakhstan N.Nazarbayev are based on finding its future without losing its past. It was noted that the relevance of the program is not only for Kazakhstan, but also for the international community, so the program is presented at the global level, including UNESCO headquarters.
The Minister of Thailand was informed about the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Astana, the VI Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and other important events planned for the forthcoming period.
From his part, Minister of Culture noted that the Republic of Kazakhstan is a recognizable and successful state.
The parties expressed to continue close cooperation in the implementation of joint cultural events to strengthen relations between the peoples of the two countries.In general, during the meeting, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan informed the Minister about the current socio-economic situation in Kazakhstan and the prospects for the development of the Kazakh economy, dynamically developing national innovation potential, preferences for foreign business and investments in Kazakhstan, the intention of the country to enter the 30 developed countries of the world by 2050.
