Photo exhibition "Astana - the capital of the Great Steppe" was presented in Bangkok

Bangkok, June 26, 2018

On the eve of the Capital Day a photo exhibition on the occasion of the 20th Anniversary of Astana was opened in Bangkok. Ceremony of cutting the ribbon as an honorary guest attended Mr. Taweesak Lertprapan, Deputy Governor of Bangkok city.

Within three days residents and guests of the Thai capital will be presented with photo stands about the present and future of Astana, the economic, cultural and social aspects of the development of the capital.

"Through the exhibition, we show that today Astana is associated in the world community with political events of a truly global scale, an authentic planetary dialogue platform for tolerance, peace and integration. Astana is the epicenter of the most important global political events, based on the principles of Kazakhstan's new international responsibility, multi-vector nature and participation in the fight against global threats. The unique experience of our state in strengthening inter-confessional consent and unity of the people at the international level is the Congress of Leaders of the World and Traditional Religions, the Sixth meeting of which to be held this October, traditionally in Astana" – said Ambassador Raushan Yesbulatova in her speech.

Mr. Taweesak Lertprapan pointed out in his welcome speech that the capital of Kazakhstan is the largest cultural center of the Eurasian region. Universities, museums, theaters, concert venues make the capital the guardian of the best traditions and achievements.

Representatives of public, scientific, cultural and academic circles, ministries and authorities, professors and students of educational institutions, the media, as well as the diplomatic corps accredited in Bangkok, participated in the exhibition, noted that the capital of Kazakhstan deserved world recognition as a real geopolitical center of the XXI century.
