Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Thailand Ms. Raushan Yesbulatova had meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, Mr. Don Pramudvina, where parties discussed the development of bilateral relations in the political, economic and cultural spheres. Agenda of meeting was particularly focused on the results of the 3rd meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, which was held in Astana last year.
In context of discussing the "economization" of Kazakhstan's foreign policy, Ambassador Yesbulatova paid attention of Minister to the necessity of interaction of the parties in trade, economic and investment spheres, including through the participation of the Thai side in Astana Economic Forum-2018, at the meeting of the Council of Foreign Investors, International Financial Center "Astana" and other post-EXPO projects.
Additionally the Foreign Minister of Thailand was introduced by the main provisions of the Addresses of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev to the people of Kazakhstan "New Development Opportunities in the Fourth Industrial Revolution", "Five Social Initiatives of the President", the “Rukhani zhangyru" Program, the People's Assembly of Kazakhstan, about celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Astana and holding this year the next Congress of leaders of world and traditional religions.
In his term, the head of the Kingdom's Foreign Ministry noted that Kazakhstan is a recognizable and successful state and Thailand attaches great importance to cooperation at the bilateral and multilateral levels. It was noted that Kazakhstan is a leader, not only in the region, but also in important spheres like Nuclear Disarmament and deliverance of mankind from weapons of mass destruction at the world level.
In general, during the meeting, held in a friendly and warm atmosphere, the Ambassador informed the Minister about the dynamically developing national innovation potential created in Kazakhstan by preferences for foreign business.
The interlocutors also discussed the issue of simplifying the visa regime between the countries.
