Rules for obtaining visas to Kazakhstan

In accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan of December 23, 2016 No. 838 "On Resolution of amendments in to the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan of January 21, 2012 No. 148" On Approval of the Rules of Entry and Stay of Immigrants in the Republic of Kazakhstan, and their departure from the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Rules Implementation of migration control, as well as the registration of foreigners and stateless persons illegally crossing the state border of the Republic of Kazakhstan, illegally staying in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as persons who are prohibited from entering the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, "citizens of the following countries enter the Republic of Kazakhstan and leave the Republic of Kazakhstan without Visas if the period of their stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan does not exceed thirty calendar days from the moment of crossing the State Border of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

We also inform that when submitting applications for extension of your stay in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan for more than thirty calendar days with business purposes, the internal affairs authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan issue single-entry visas of the category "business" for up to thirty calendar days.

The deadline for issuing visas for all categories is 5 working days.

Working hours:

Reception days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. The time of receipt of documents from 10.30 am to 12.30 pm

No working days: Saturday, Sunday and public holidays of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Public holidays of the Republic of Kazakhstan:

When the weekend and holiday coincide, the day off is the next working day after the holiday.

In accordance with the current legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, foreign citizens are required to register with the internal affairs authorities upon arrival in Kazakhstan within 5 days. On the basis of the international principle of reciprocity (reciprocal provision of equal conditions for the issuance of visas to citizens of two states), Japanese citizens are exempted from paying a consular fee, different tariffs for consular fees are established for US citizens (the fees should be specified upon receipt of documents for a visa).

Please also take into consideration: in accordance with Art. 514 of the Tax Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 209-II of June 12, 2001, consular fees are not paid (not reimbursed) back. Payment of consular fees is carried out in the bank after the submission of documents.
