The Independence Day of Kazakhstan was celebrated in Georgia

On the occasion of the Independence Day of Kazakhstan, an official reception was held in Tbilisi. The solemn event was attended by heads of diplomatic missions, parliamentarians and officials of Georgia, representatives of academic and scientific circles, businessmen, as well as employees of the Kazakh companies working in Georgia.

In his speech, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Georgia Baurzhan Mukhamejanov noted the invariability of Kazakhstan's foreign policy, based on the principles of good-neighbourliness, mutual respect for interests and cooperation, compliance with the norms of international law, respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity. "Kazakhstan has always been and remains an active conductor of the idea of integration and a participant in important international projects aimed at increasing the economic potential of our countries” the diplomat stressed.

“Let me take this opportunity to sincerely congratulate the friendly people of Kazakhstan and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan on such a significant day” - said the main guest, Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Alexander Khvtisiashvili, at the reception. We are sincerely glad for the truly impressive progress that Kazakhstan has achieved in a short period under the First President Nursultan Nazarbayev, who made an invaluable contribution to the restoration of the country's independence, the establishment of its statehood and Kazakhstan entering the list of the leading countries of the world. Therefore, it was symbolic that the capital of Kazakhstan was renamed in honor of the first president and founder of the city - said the Georgian diplomat.
