Yerkin Akhinzhanov - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Norway

Mr. Yerkin Akhinzhanov was born on September 28, 1968 in Almaty. In 1992 graduated from Almaty Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages.

In 1992 was an English language teacher at the Kazakh State University of Economics.

1993-1994 – Assistant Attaché of the Consular Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

1994-1995 - Attaché of the Consular Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

1995-1997 - Attache, Third Secretary, Embassy of Kazakhstan in India.

1997-1998 - Third Secretary, Head of Section of the Consular Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

1998-2003 - Second Secretary, First Secretary, Embassy of Kazakhstan in India.

2003 - Head of the Analytics Section at the Secretariat of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

2003-2005 - Head of Division, Deputy Director of the Department of Europe and Americas, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

2005-2008 - Director of the Department of Multilateral Cooperation in Europe, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

2008-2009 - Director of the OSCE Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

2009-2011 - Deputy Permanent Representative, Mission of Kazakhstan to the OSCE.

2011-2012 - Deputy Permanent Representative, Mission of Kazakhstan to International Organizations in Vienna.

2012-2014 - Director of the Europe Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.

2014-2017 - Deputy Chief of Mission, Minister Counselor, Embassy of Kazakhstan in the United States.

2017-2018 - Deputy Permanent Representative, Mission of Kazakhstan to the UN in New York.

On April 9, 2019 by the President's Decree Mr Yerkin Akhinzhanov was appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Norway.

Diplomatic rank - Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary 2nd Class.
