UN women delegates and spouses of delegate missions' representatives gathered under the same Kazakh shanyrak!

Delighted to host a large UN Delegations Women’s Club's October Tea Party and privileged to share #Kazakh culture and national traditions, including:

- 40 Days after Baby's birth (Kyrkynan Shygaru) - the first celebration in a newborn's life when it is believed that the soul rests permanently in the child's body;

- Cutting the ribbon (Tusau Keser) - another big celebration when a newborn does his first steps. Cutting the ribbon means freeing the child from the bonds and opening the path;

- Farewell to the Bride (Kyz Uzatu) - seeing off the bride from the parents' house to a married life.

Thank you #UNDWC President Mrs. Andrea Mlynar (Slovakia), Executive Director Mrs. Ranju Batra and all the guests for being with us!
