Delegation of Kazakhstan took part in the 41st Meeting of the ISO General Assembly

Kazakhstan's delegation took part in the 41st Meeting of the ISO General Assembly from 25 to 28 September 2018 in Geneva. Participants discussed among others participation of standardization in the global transition of economies to the “digitalization". Such phenomena as universal digitalization, artificial intelligence, blockchain change and improve the processes of standardization. Participants also looked at topical issues of renewable energy and safe road traffic.

One of the important topics of the conference was the involvement of State bodies in standardization. In discussing this topic, the importance of constant promotion of the activities of national authorities to raise awareness and interest of public servants in the standardization process was noted.

At the session dedicated to the "UN Sustainable Development Goals", the following topics were considered: Sustainable cities and communities, Climatic conditions, Affordable and clean energy, Clean water and sanitation.

During the event, the Kazakhstan's delegation in the course of bilateral meetings with the national standardization bodies of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Uzbekistan, signed licensing agreements on translation, adoption and dissemination of standards.
