Kazakhstan participates in the meeting of UNCTAD related to International standards of Accounting and Reporting
The delegation of Kazakhstan participates in the 34th session of the Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting of the UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), which is held from October 31 till November 3, 2017 in Geneva.
The Director of the Department of Accounting and Auditing Methodology of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ms.A.Bekturova presented to the participants the Kazakhstan's experience on the implementation of international accounting standards in the public sector and as well as the main governmental measures and steps towards ensuring accessibility and transparency of financial reporting of business structures in Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan is a Member of the Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting of the UNCTAD since 2016.
The Group includes representatives of national state bodies regulating financial reporting and audit, international organizations, professional associations of accountants and auditors and academia in order to explore the ways to improve corporate transparency and accountability.
