Kazakhstan strongly condemns the act of terrorism on March 19, 2016 in Istanbul, victims of which were citizens of different states. Kazakhstan confirms its full support to the Turkish authorities and expresses its solidarity in their fight against terrorism. Kazakhstan, being part of the international community, expresses its concern about the situation in Turkey, strongly condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and stands for taking joint effective measures by the international community to eradicate this phenomenon. Kazakhstan believes that terrorist acts are a threat to the whole world security. Relying on the principles of the international law and relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council, Kazakhstan calls on all countries to take joint efforts under the auspices of the UN against the spread of terrorism and extremism. That is the reason why President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev addressed the UN with the initiative to form a global coalition against terrorism (the network).
