Kazakhstan and Panama to deepen bilateral cooperation

Recently in Panama City Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Canada Konstantin Zhigalov took part in the Inauguration Ceremony of the newly elected President of the Republic of Panama Juan Carlos Varela as the special representative of Kazakhstan.

Ambassador Zhigalov delivered the congratulatory message from President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and expressed the readiness of Kazakhstan's side to advance bilateral relationship with Panama on many issues of bilateral and multilateral agenda.

Within the framework of the visit, Kazakh diplomat met with Vice President - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Panama Isabel Saint Malo de Alvarado. During the talks the parties expressed interest to further strengthen bilateral ties between Kazakhstan and Panama. Ambassador Zhigalov invited Panama's Minister of Foreign Affairs to visit Kazakhstan and also invited representatives of Panama to take part in the EXPO-2017 in Astana on the theme of "Future Energy", especially, in view of the increasing role of the Panama Canal in global energy transportation.
