On September 27, 2017 in Kyiv in the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine organized a "round table". Its main themes were the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Ukraine and modernization processes in Kazakhstan.
The event was attended by the heads of diplomatic missions, people's deputies of the Verkhovna Rada, heads of state bodies of Ukraine, representatives of clerisy, business community and the media.
In his speech, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Ukraine Samat Ordabayev emphasized the special historical role of the President Nursultan Nazarbayev in establishing brotherly relations between the two countries based on the principles of respect for mutual interests. The head of the diplomatic mission detailed information on the main provisions of the public consciousness modernization programme, as well as political and economic transformations in Kazakhstan.
Vice-President of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Sergey Pyrozhkov highly evaluated the model of Kazakhstan development, based on political stability and liberal economy. The country managed to avoid conflicts. All this rallied the people of Kazakhstan and strengthened the country's positive image in the international arena. The success of Kazakhstan is connected with the name of Nursultan Nazarbayev, – the academician emphasized.
Head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine group on inter-parliamentary relations with the Republic of Kazakhstan, People's Deputy Ruslan Demchak informed about the development of inter-parliamentary relations. He called the Head of Kazakhstan an "architect" of Kazakh-Ukrainian relations and assured him of his intention to make every possible effort for further cooperation deepening between the two countries.
Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Roman Hreba said that the cooperation between Ukraine and Kazakhstan in the sphere of education is dynamically developing, although the potential has not yet been exhausted. He added that "for our part we closely follow innovations in the field of education in Kazakhstan and we find here a lot in common with Ukraine, because our educational reform is also called to open the Ukrainian way to the innovative, modernized future."
Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ukraine, National Commissioner of EXPO Sergey Svystil highly praised the international exhibition EXPO-2017, during which the Ukrainian party presented its developments and know-how in the field of renewable energy at a worthy level. This allowed us to conclude a number of mutually beneficial agreements with Kazakhstan investors. There one can see a positive trend in setting up joint ventures. Another mechanism to stimulate trade and economic cooperation, he said, was an agreement on the establishment of Trade Houses, the main task of which would be the consolidation of commodity flows and the improvement of transit and transportation conditions.
Ukrainian academic and expert circles highly appreciated the ambitious goals Kazakhstan has set for itself. They particularly stressed that the successful experience of Kazakhstan in many spheres of life has already received wide international recognition. At the same time, it was noted that the consistent introduction of trilingualism into educational programs and the translation of the 100 best textbooks into the Kazakh language and other measures will become important factors in the formation of a competitive nation and a competitive state in general.
