On June 20, 2014 a workshop "Investment, legal and tax climate in the countries of the Customs Union" was organized in Rome by the non-profit Public Association "Conoscere Eurasia" with the support of the Intesa Bank.
The event was attended by the representatives of the Eurasian integration associations, major Italian legal and financial companies, heads of diplomatic missions of the CIS countries, as well asfamous Italian experts and analysts, media representatives of the country.
During the workshop, representatives of the governmental and business community discussed investment opportunities in the area of the Customs Union of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus, which, according to the Italian speakers, becomes a point of intersection for the business development of the world economy.
During the plenary session the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Italy Andrian Yelemessov delivered his speech. In his speech the head of the Kazakh diplomatic mission noted that the Customs Union is one of the most promising and successful integration projects in the post-Soviet space. Ambassador Yelemessov specified the new prospects for the national economies of Kazakhstan, Belarus and Russia, emerging together with the signing of the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, also focusing on the benefits of the Republic of Kazakhstan in terms of business and investment cooperation.
