The issue of canceling the registration for Kazakh tourists discussed in Egypt

July 31, Arman Issagaliyev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Egypt, met with General Khaled Foda, Governor of the South Sinai Province.
During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism were discussed. The Kazakh diplomat emphasized that the number of tourists from the Republic of Kazakhstan, vacationing in Egyptian resorts, in particular in Sharm al-Sheikh and Hurghada, has increased significantly over the past two years. Last year, over 120 thousand tourists visited Egypt, which is 25 times more than in 2016. This year, along with SCAT airline, direct charter flights to Sharm al-Sheikh were operated by the national air carrier - Air Astana.
The Governor of South Sinai, administrative center of which is Sharm al-Sheikh, expressed satisfaction with the growing demand for Egyptian destinations among Kazakh tourists. He reiterated the desire of the Egyptian authorities to create the most comfortable conditions for vacationers.

In this context, the Ambassador raised the issue of canceling the procedure for compulsory registration of Kazakh tourists in the migration services of Egypt, which creates some inconvenience, as well as some problems when they leave the country. At the same time, A. Issagaliyev emphasized that the same procedure for Egyptian citizens in Kazakhstan was canceled last year. The governor promised to resolve this issue in the near future and to abolish this bureaucratic procedure.

The Ambassador invited the Governor to take part in the 8th Global Summit of the United Nations World Tourism Organization on Urban Tourism, which will be held in Nur-Sultan on October 7-11, 2019.
