On December 22-23, 2017 in Budapest and in the cultural capital of Europe, in the city of Pecs, the concerts of "Astana Opera" were successfully held. The tour was conducted within the framework of the project called “Modern Kazakh culture in global world" of the "Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan's identity" program.
In his welcoming speech, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan Nurbakh Rustemov stressed that thanks to the "Rukhani zhangyru" program the Hungarian audience was able to get acquainted with the great achievements of the culture of the Great Steppe and the spiritual values of the Kazakh people.
The Kazakhstan Symphony Orchestra, the Astana Opera chorus, soloists of opera and ballet dancers performed at the concerts. In particular, the opera diva Mayra Muhamedkyzy, the opera prima Saltanat Akhmetova, the soloist of the theater Zhupar Gabdullina, the soloists of the ballet Bakhtiyar Adamzhan and Madina Basbayeva have won the Hungarian audience. In addition, the world-famous maestro, Alan Buribayev, who is also a chief conductor of "Astana Opera" and maestro Aydar Abzhakhanov performed as conductors.
In the famous concert halls of the Budapest Musical Academy named after Franz Liszt and the Center of Pécs named after Zoltán Kodály, with enthusiasm and ovations were welcomed the "Zherim menin" composition, lyrics by Nursultan Nazarbayev, as well as the works of outstanding Kazakh composers such as by "Steppe legend" by Tles Kazhgaliyev, “Aytys Scene" by Mukan Tulebaev, "Alkisa" by Nurgisa Tlendiyev, Kamar and Ahmet duo from the "Kamar-sulu" opera written by Erkegali Rakhmadiyev, dance "Karlygash" from the "Abay" opera written by Akhmet Zhubanov and Latif Hamidi. In addition, the duo of Count Di Luna and Leonora from the "Il Trovatore" opera by G.Verdi, the Cavatina of Semiramide from the opera "Semiramide" by G. Rossini were performed.
Concerts of "Astana Opera" presented to Hungary not only the breathtaking spirit and atmosphere of our capital - the future center of world culture but also once again showed the foreign public the high professional skills musicians from Kazakhstan.
