Kazakh Delegations Participates in Largest Agricultural Machinery Exhibition “Agritechnica - 2019”

HANNOVER, 15 November 2019 – A delegation from Kazakhstan took part in the world's largest exhibition of agricultural machinery «Agritechnica – 2019», which will run from 11-16 November 2019.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by the Federal Minister of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection of Germany Julia Klöckner, the Prime Minister of Lower Saxony Stefan Weil, as well as over 2 000 invited guests, including high public and political figures, heads of leading industrial corporations and media representatives.

During the exhibition, the First Deputy Governor of the North Kazakhstan Province M.Tasmaganbetov, Kazakhstan’s Consul in Hannover A.Iskakov and the Country Representative of JSC "NC “Kazakh Invest” in Germany A.Tumysheva held a meeting with executives from CLAAS. Presently, CLAAS is carrying out preparatory work to sign an agreement on the industrial assembly of agricultural machinery in the North Kazakhstan Province. During the meeting, the parties discussed the conditions for the implementation of the project and plans for signing a roadmap document during the upcoming visit of the Kazakh President to Berlin.

Moreover, the Kazakh delegation held a series of meetings with the German company «Kärcher» (the world's largest manufacturer of cleaning equipment), «Lemken» (a global manufacturer of agricultural household technology with a turnover of 380 millions euro), «Adler Arbeitsmaschinen» (manufacturer of sweepers and snow plows), and «Agravis Technik» (supplier of agricultural equipment), among others.

The main topic of the negotiations was the development of investment and technological cooperation between Kazakhstan and Germany. Representatives of the companies were informed in detail about Kazakhstan’s state policy to attract foreign investment and support Kazakh exports, aimed at creating a favorable investment climate, improving the investment infrastructure, ensuring an open dialogue and interaction between the state and investors. Particular attention was paid to the advantages of investing in the country's economy, in particular, to existing preferences and benefits.

«Agritechnica» is held once every two years to showcase the latest developments in agricultural technology, industrial innovation, as well as current industry trends. In addition to agricultural equipment, the exhibition demonstrates innovative products, advanced solutions and new technologies for water and energy conservation, as well as concepts of sustainable management and future production. This year the exhibition was visited by more 450 000 attendees and 2.8 00 exhibitors from 53 countries. The leading theme of the exhibition this year was “Global Agriculture - Local Responsibility”.
